Update 8th June 2008 - World Sprint Tri Champs
Well done to Julie McTaggart who finished 4th in her age group
at the World Sprint Tri Champs in Vancouver on Friday.

Update 8th June 2008 - Ayr OW Sprint Tri
The Ayr OW Tri is next Sunday (15th June) so this is the traditional call for help for setup crew/marshalls to help out on the day. If anyone can supply baking/sandwiches etc that would be much appreciated by all. If anyone can come along, then please report to the race site at the mouth of the River Doon (Doonfoot, Ayr) as follows:
7am for race setup crew
9am for allocation of marshall duties (report to Gregor Grant)

Update 29th April 2008 - Prestwick spring Aquathlon Results
Well done to all who took part today and thanks also to all club members and parents who lent a hand running the event. Results are now available on the race page.

Update 21st April 2008 - 1st 5km run TT...
... will take place on Monday 28th April. For those not having partaken of this torture before, the start point is at the standing stone outside the recycling centre just across from Troon pool. The route is out and back along the cycle path that heads North along the North Beach Road. Runners depart slowest first at 15s intervals. First runner should be ready to go at 7.30pm. Results contribute towards club championships.

Update 1st April 2008 - Spring 2008 10 mile Bike Time Trials
This confirms that the 4 Spring 10 mile bike time trials will commence on Wed 9th April over the Moscow circuit. 'Sign-in' at 6.15pm for the first start at 6.30pm (sharp) from the Grassyards Farm road of the Moscow circuit off the A77 New Farm Loch junction by Kilmarnock. A map/profile of the course is available. Those driving up would be advised to park near the finish line.

Usual rules apply:

1. Helmets compulsory. No helmet = no race!
2. The TT is open to current club members only

There's no charge for the TT: just show your appreciation to the timekeepers at the end. Results will be posted on the club website after the event. Your best bike TT result in Spring or Autumn will count towards the 2008 club champs. Any questions - post them on the 2008 Champs forum.

Cross your fingers for an improvement in the weather and see you next week.

Update 10th Feb 2008 - Martin McMillan Memorial Duathlon
Many thanks for coming along today and raising a nice wee sum for the BHF in Martin's memory. Thanks to Les Straws for selecting the teams in a simple, 'scientific' way, Jackie/Joyce for timekeeping and Wilson/Julie for the use of their gaff afterwards and the welcome spread.
The event was won by Wilson McTaggart and Rod Henderson. Does Wilson get to keep a quaich if he wins one 3 years on the trot?
Results are now posted on the Current Results page for both Individual & Team rankings.
Julie has also posted some multimedia at YouTube so turn up the speakers and relive your pain.

Update 4th Feb 2008 - 2008 Membership Fees now Due
Last reminder!!! 2008 fees should be paid by end-Jan.
The 2008 membership form is available for download in PDF format. Fees have been held from last year and TriathlonScotland are no longer charging a stand-alone fee for ordinary TS membership as this will be levied at the first race you enter (or at time of purchase of your TS Race License). For more on 2008 TS fees read this.
